XC208 Championship Series

Eastern Idaho’s Premiere Off-Road Motorcycle Racing SERIES

about

XC208 is the PREMIERE Eastern Idaho Race Series - Made by Racers, for Racers.

The XC208 Championship Series was born out of a desire to bring fun, safe, family-oriented racing to the greater southeast Idaho area. Our goals are to bring exciting, challenging, and affordable motorcycle racing for the whole family. From our one-hour beginner and junior races, to the two-hour Main Event race, we truly have something for every rider, regardless of age or skill level. Series founders Bill and Ashley Radecky bring over 25 years of combined racing experience to the series, and this experience translates into enjoyable, well-marked courses that everyone can appreciate. We strive to provide professional-level races at a local level; consistency in course marking, scoring, and race-day schedule set XC208 apart from other series.

Here are all the great reasons why you should bring the whole family to an XC208 event:

  • Spectator Friendly

  • Great Course that is FUN, CHALLENING, & SAFE

  • Classes for Everyone

  • Affordable

We can’t wait to see you at the next XC208 Event!

  • Bill & Ashley

TESTIMONIALS

Thanks Radecky family for all the hard work that you and others put into the Sage Junction race! It was definitely a challenging course and I’m sure helped us all become better riders. Had a great time and look forward to being less sore later this week... Thanks again
— Ken Vander Stoep
This was an outstanding event ! organized on point met some great new people great day of racing and the course was exceptional. Some great JR racing to watch as well! Thanks you all see you the 19! Not too many times you can share the podium with you’re kids! That’s what really made it an extra special DAY!
— Kevin Gries
Everything was well organized and went smooth. Starting from coming through the gate to getting registered, getting the race going, racing, and posting results. The course was marked out REALLY WELL. This was my best endurance race experience I’ve had yet. I’m excited for the next 3 races this year, and ALL of the races in the future. GOOD JOB to EVERYBODY who had a part in putting this together!!

FAQs

  1. What kind of races do you have?  The XC208 Championship Series is 100% cross country motorcycle races, we do not currently have any ATV or side by side races.  We run mostly Hare Scramble format races, these are one hour long for the mini bike, and beginner women, and 2 hours for the main race.  Racers begin on rows with other racers in their class or division.  The goal is to do as many laps as possible in that amount of time.  The winner is based on the faster rider, and who does the most laps.

  2. What class should I ride?  We have three divisions, A, B, and C.  "A" is for the fastest most competitive racers, "B" is for the intermediate racers, and "C" is for the beginners.  Within each division there are multiple classes that are divided by bike engine displacement, or age.  Age is determined by the riders age as of the first race of the season. Click HERE to view our class breakdown.

  3. Is there a class for my beginner son or daughter?  Yes we have a mini/junior race that races before the main race, they run on a shorter course, for one hour, and you are more than welcome to follow them around or have another family member or friend follow them to help out.

  4. How do I sign up?  Our website has online entry and membership forms, as well as links to both PayPal and Venmo to make quick easy payments. Click HERE to go to the Pre-Entry page.

  5. Why do I have to have a membership?  The membership fee goes to the third party company that we use for scoring the races, and end of the year awards.  Our goal is to make the XC208 races as affordable as possible, and doing a seasonal membership allows us to keep the individual race entry fees down as much as possible.  The last thing we want is for a family to not be able to come race because its too expensive, we feel that Offroad motorcycle racing is one of the best ways to spend time as a family.

  6. Will my transponder from another series work?  If that series uses the scoring system we are using for the race in question then yes. If you have questions please contact us and we will help you figure out if your transponder will work.

  7. Do I need to have numbers?  Yes you need to have a number on at least your front number plate, or head light.  We are moving toward having defined numbers and backgrounds, but those are not required yet.  In the future "A" riders will run red backgrounds with while numbers, "B" riders will have yellow backgrounds with black numbers, "C" riders will have white backgrounds with black numbers.  The mini, junior, and beginner women will run blue backgrounds with white numbers.

  8. Do I need extra gas?  Some bikes, and riders will need to stop once or more during the race due to shorter range gas tanks, others will be able to go the whole time.

  9. Do I have to fuel up in the pits or can I go to my truck?  Due to insurance we are required to have everyone fill up in the pit area, if you have to go to your truck or trailer for other maintenance that is fine, but please only fuel up during the race in the pit area.
